Crossed Beams
Another shot of the church I visited for some photos last week, this time a cross on the gable end of the roof, with the sun behind it. As something of a fan of vignettes, it was nice not to have to add this one in post-processing; it is 100% natural. This takes, I think, my personal record for brightest subject photographed. What a claim to fame.
Only post-processing on this was a crop. The almost-black-and-white look is as it came off the camera.

Hall
A extra free not-baby photo, as promised. This doorway is part of a church on Newmarket Road in Cambridge. I hope to post a couple more shots I got while passing last week.
Minor curves adjustment, vignette and tiny bit of unsharp mask.

Teddy's Time Out
Been a fair few photos of the young'un recently, which might not be to everyone's tastes, and as I have plenty of photos in the pipeline at the moment I might put a non-baby one up later in the week. I happened to be editing this one last night though, so it's ended up here.
Isabel had worn herself out yesterday by the time I got home, so had to have a little nap instead of playing. Her teddy seemed relieved to get a break!
Very minor editing on this - just a duplicate layer with levels adjustment and layer mask to make a slight vignette.

Can I come out now?
Isn't she cute? Well, I'm biased, and this is not her at her most cute (I've some ideas for unbelievably cute photos to come), but this is her just waking up after a walk asking if she can come out and play, and what is that thing you're looking through making the interesting clicky noises?
Converted to black and white using the green channel - the check pattern was red and black, and quite distracting in the original. Then curves adjustment, guassian blue overlay, and thought about adding some grain (there's a little from the ISO400 already) but would need a bit of practice at that effect first.

Honesty
Bit late this week, not because I'm lacking in ideas for photos, but because I'm lacking in time. No time, for example, to get a case for my new camera, and so I don't really want to travel with it and end up scratching it on my bike for example. As a result, all the photos have been pretty local. I hope to get something more exciting later this week though.
For those who don't know, I've called this "Honesty", not out of some pretention that it represents truth, but because that's what this plant is commonly called.
Post processing consisted of turning this into a sepia shot using the natural colour of the seed heads as a tint. The original was almost sepia already, I just helped it along a little.
